Eazy Peazy

Eazy Peazy is the cheeky sibling of Toji Sake, the brand run by owners Shar and Yuta Kobayashi, which explains why the sake list is one of the most serious on the street. It opened in July 2019 with chef Dan Chan, whose CV runs through Hong Kong's famed yakitori bar Yardbird plus Cumulus Up and Supernormal Canteen, building the menu around the hibachi charcoal grill: skewers, wagyu and izakaya snacks.

The room itself won design awards. Carr Design gave it walls that represent Niigata's rice fields and a ceiling like falling snow over the Asahi ranges, with Japanese cartoon figurines moonlighting as handbag hooks. Finish with a matcha pafu ice-cream sandwich.
