In a city famous for its cafe culture, it can be difficult to make your mark. Founded in 2014 and still going strong, Pg. 2 has done it by being two things at once: a brunch cafe and a working art gallery, hanging a rotating roster of local and up-and-coming artists with fresh work on the walls every month.

The menu caters wide, from the Big Breakfast, breakfast burrito and hollandaise eggs through to quinoa, chia and coconut porridge and a veggie stack with mushrooms, with a kids menu and milkshakes making it an easy family stop.

Doors open from 6:30am on weekdays, which makes it an ideal spot to grab a coffee before work and take in some of the finest new artwork in Melbourne while you wait.
