Pizzeria Da Bruno is the most ambitious build on the street: five levels and 250 seats spanning a New York-inspired basement bar, a bistro and mezzanine, two rooftops and two private dining rooms. The former flooring building was rebuilt almost from scratch over four years, with custom-poured concrete and a ceiling that reaches nearly ten metres.

The name and inspiration come from a 1930s restaurant near Milan's Duomo, and the fit-out leans brutalist northern Italian. Pizzas come out of a Marana wood-fired oven imported from Italy, from owners Michael Koutroulis and Sarah Subbiah of Hawthorn's Santoni. Urban List memorably dubbed one room the Franco Cozzo-inspired dining room.
